Sadiq And His Sister

In a small village of simple people, there lived a noble man, named “Sadiq”. He was known to be very close to God and was said to be a Sufi. People visited him for the solution of their problems. He felt pleasure in helping others. Unlike him, his elder sister “Faiqa” was away from religion. She amused herself in listening to music and backbitting others. Almost all of her actions were totally different from Sadiq’s pure personality. Sadiq’s parents had died when he was 5 years old.

People of village loved Sadiq because of his experienced personality and truthful character. Once a crying person came to him, telling that his crop fields had been destroyed and pleaded for help. Sadiq gave a little smile. “Go back! They’re lush green again.” Sadiq said and it was true! The crops had unimaginably turned lush green again. It was a miracle of people of village.

One morning, Sadiq was looking for his glasses on a shelf when his hand accidentally hit a fragile vase and it shattered into small pieces on hitting the floor. Faiqa had seen him but she didn’t show up and went away quietly. The following night, Faiqa came to Sadiq. “Have you broken the vase?” She asked at once. Sadiq hesitated for a moment and then lied, “Err… No. I’ve not!” Faiqa raised her eyebrows but left without further questioning.

Sadiq felt abashed of himself on telling a lie in such a minor situation. His inner voice kept on gnawing at him. To compensate of what he had done, he offered special prayers and fed 10 hungry and needy people. He really had a heart saturated with love of God.

After a week, when he was walking in a narrow alley, he saw two men fighting. He went to them to stop them.

“Don’t stop me. YOU LIAR!” You are a dishonest person. I feel ashamed when I say you a Sufi.” One of the men said when Sadiq tried to free him from fight.

Sadiq went away. How could somone know that he told a lie? A lie, which had been compensated with deeds of goodness. How could someone doubt his whole life as impure because of one wrong deed? He walked back to his home. Before he could knock at door, he heard Faiqa’s voice from inside.

“Can you believe it, Sara? A man depicting himself so close to God ends upon a filthy liar?” Faiqa was saying.

“I know Faiqa. I know.” Sara replied.

A tear followed by a flood of others flowed from Sadiq’s eyes. He couldn’t believe that his own sister could do such a thing to him. His dignity was now no more.

**********************************

“I promise by God that I didn’t speak that lie with intention.” These were the last words escaping the mouth of Sadiq, before his untimely death. He left a leeter before hi died. Faiqa readd it an hour or two after Sadiq’s death.

“If only this was done by a stranger, I would not have suffered a lot. It all started from my home. When home becomes grave, life becomes death; and when close ones become strangers, the dead ones become a family. I died not for what I have done, but for what I bore.”

After reading this last letter, Faiqa had no effect on herself. She was never a sister for Sadiq. She engraved the sentence of entire life on the tombstone of Sadiq’s grave.

“Here lies one who can even lie for truth.”

Books

I cannot live without books.  (Thomas Jefferson)

Books are water for mind. Fortunately, everyone wants water, without which life would never exist. Without books, one is living a lifeless life.Though living without books seems simple and normal, but there lies an inner part that strives for books' hunger. Only a book has caused revolutions in people's lives. A society saturated with the need of book is the society that shines with the beauty of progress. Books are the gates that open into the city of knowledge. A hand holding a book is ensuring the better future of its possessor.

When we leaf through the pages full of quotes of famous authors, we come to know that all read books before writing a book. When you buy a book, you actually don't buy a book, you achieve whole secret of life. When you hold a book, you are actually holding life in your hands.

Lie Truth

All those truths accompanied by uncontrollable laughter surely have a lie in them.

A Paragraph From My Novel

Currently, I have written a novel and I am composing it these days. I thought of sharing a little with the visitors on my blog. Well, I have chosen only a small paragraph which is copied below. I hope everyone would love to read it. If there is some suggestion or anything, do comment (comments are highly appreciated by me)  :)

After a wait of several seconds, a jet of blue light came from the watch, fizzled, and started revolving us at a great speed, giving us a relaxation and a cold mist, which we breathed while in the cage of light––a cage of a luxurious life. A thick fog came from my right side, snoozed, and interfered with our vision and sense of olfaction for a small interval of time. The jet of blue light bolted away beneath my shoes, leaving us alone and locked in the whiteness of the fogged world's cage from where I was unable to move and was like a lame floating in the dilute air of the nowhere world. My right hand was glued hard with the old man's hand that seemed to be unaffected by the atmosphere surrounding us. I was going higher and higher, having no signs of a ground or floor beneath my shoes. I was like a helpless reactant going through a chemical reaction. Slowly and gradually the fog started to fade and we landed on a soft ground which felt like sand. Soon, the fog vanished away, showing a red hot desert in front of us.

Love

I was seeking death,
When you said, "goodbye"
I came back to life
When you mourned on my grave.

Life After Death

A person doesn't believes in life after death. What does he assume the happenings after death?

A Trip To Murree

It is said that whenever the state of boredom is exploding inside ones mind, he must travel and look the beauty of nature. *SIGHS* I also experienced such humdrum. Just in the beginning of June, I was being crushed under the teeth of exams and also, at the end of June, I was again trapped in its cage again. So, when July showed its resplendent face, our family decided to go to Murree (An eye-catching place at high altitude in Pakistan.)

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page. (SAINT AUGUSTINE)

First, we decided to go to Taxila Cantt where my uncle lived. On our way, we stopped at Rohtas Fort in Jehlum. Its history goes to Sher Shah Suri. He was a mughal emperor and constructed it. It was indeed a beautiful place.

Rohtas Fort

Well, that's me in the picture and that historical building standing behind me is a gate of Rohtas Fort. We also went in that gate. The picture shown below has a little close view.

A Clear View
Sher Shah Suri had a commander, named 'Man Singh". Sher Shah Suri made him a place to live in this fort. That home is broken away but some of it is still present.  It's picture is shown below.
House of Man Singh In Rohtas Fort
I went in there. Some people had written strange things on the walls. A balcony-like place was also made there. Fresh air came in and was quite refreshing.

In the above picture, you can see that some part of the house is missing. I hope it was broken by environmental changes. After enjoying this, we went to a place we called the helipad of Sher Shah Suri because the top part of it resembled much like a helipad..... lol.

HELIPAD    :)
After this, we just walked about here and there. Some pictures taken during this wandering phase are shown below.

In the meanwhile, it started raining. We ran in our cars and went to Texila Cantt in our uncle's home. It was only a night stay there. The next day, we went to Murree. There on express way, we stopped for a moment and ate maize. It was very tasty! The scenery was quite delightsome. We went to our rest house. Our neighbours were quite silent but we were like being noisy neighbours for them. They would be desiring a sound proofing wall :) We rested for a while and then went to mall road at evening. The next day, we went to nathia gali, ayubia and kalabagh. All the pictures are below.

A gate to forest. It was in front of our room in rest house.

An accident! My cousin's just making fun!

Crowd Of Mall Road

Lol.... It's Pakistan.

I am Back!

I have not written anything for a long time, but it is against the wit of a writer to stay away from writing. Actually, I was completing my novel. Now it's completed and it needs some purification of interest in it. I hope i'll be writing in my blog regularly from now on. :)

Different Days

You can become blind by seeing each day as similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.

Progress

Progress lies not in advancing towards your destination, but in the decision of what to do after conquering the land of your aim.

Advice

Look Before You Leap

When you are said to be wrong by someone;
Even if you have done a work never witnessed by sun,
Patience is the best weapon you can use
To kill the doubts and never to loose.

Always talk when it's the time to talk;
Always see whether it's light or dark.
You have read, "Look before you leap."
For the abyss of problems is very deep.

Writing Of God

I have heard many people saying that God made the nature brilliant, indispensable and transcendent. But when ask them to express their views in words, they refuse and say that language of God is difficult to elaborate. I must say that to understand the greatness of God, it is sine qua non to understand his beauty. People can express the difficult thought into simple words.

I can elaborate that nature is the hand writing of God which is very difficult, but important too. For example, a doctor's writing is difficult to understand but it may contain information about the life and death of a person. Similarly, writing of God contains an extraordinary and eminent beauty.

Friendship

Always get the company of your friends when you are angry. Because when the magma cools, it makes the soil more fertile.

Wise Men

Wise men decide to talk when no one wishes to listen.

Breaking A Heart

Never break someone's heart, for when you do this, you are like making a glass shatter into small pieces which can never be joined again.

Dreamer

I am a dreamer, living in the reality of dreams.

Words

Your words are crumbs falling from the feast of your knowledge. Give these to those who are hungry for a little of these.

I Hope

I am trying to make my blog better and more interesting. I hope that I shall succeed. I have a hope that God will help me because I once heard a maxim:

"What God does, he does well."

If you have any suggestions, any criticism, do share it.

Illusion Of Free Will

In my view, the free will of a man is not controlled by himself. It's the consequences of nature which make him do such things. A man is never freely able to do something on his own. The natural power is provided to him to do such thing. Scott Adams said:

"Free will is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure."

A man has never been a free agent from his birth to death. For example, his daily opinions are based on his personal experience and education which is provided to him by the nature. If he was given a free will, he would be there lying on the floor after jumping from a window on the 6th floor of a building. If he had the right for a free will, he could do anything, whether it was for his welfare or not.

For another example, when we turn a T.V on, we say,  "The T.V is working." But actually, if we think deep, it is working because we made it to do this. It is working because of the different parts present in it. It doesn't work on its will. We are the same. Jawaharlal Nehru said:

"Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is a free will."

Getting The Impossibles

It's easy to grasp the shadows but others might think otherwise to go in the direction of those who are seeking the truth but they always doubt those who have found it.

Hunger

Hunger has always been a cause of crimes.

A Blink Of Eternity

Life is a blink of eternity.

I Gazed Around And Found Nothing New

A few days ago, I was walking here and there in the open city, thinking and thinking about this world. I don't know why, but really good thoughts were coming. I was remembered about the quote of Friedrich Nietzsche at that time:

"All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking."

I looked around, I espied and observed everything, but found nothing but nature. I read nothing but the novel of this world where everyone is playing a significant part. William Shakespeare rightly said:

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and thei entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages."

I gazed around and found that this world is going as it should be. It was straight and forward. Everyone here, whether good or bad is not my topic, is giving a life to this world.
We can see that a plant can even absorb muddy water for its survival. Similarly, we have to face evil to struggle for a true life. Living a life is no more than sitting with paralysed body; surviving for life is the reason for you to be sent down in this world. Hans Christian Anderson said:

"Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."

Now, what is life? It's a wide ranging name giving birth to many philosophical ideas but still, the life remains undefined. What is this that we walk, we eat, we run, we laugh, we cry and we do whatever we want to do? Now everywhere I look, I look life. Life is with us, but we are not with life because life can define us, but we can't properly define it in terms of philosophy. Robert Bryne told the meaning of life in general as:

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose."

There is nothing new around us. The world was made for struggle and is existing because of struggle. When we look around, we hope to find something new (and we find something new but it's in our views). The truth is that, when you look beyond the thinking of an ordinary man, you'll know that nothing is new. You are living and just living; nothing else. You desire to run; you run very fast and assume it to be a new thing for you but no! It's in your nature to run. Nothing new.

A new thing happens at that moment when you die because your dying giving something new to this world. Now, let me explain it with the help of a transcendent quote of Richard Bach.

"Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is fininshed. If you're alive, it isn't."

Truth Is Simple

Truth always seems to be simple on the first look, but only a simple base gives rise to a great skyscraper.

Power Of Truth

Truth is always very strong to face the attacks of thousands of lies coming to break its existence.

Science And Philosophy

Science is always struggling to measure the level of philosophy, but still, philosophy doesn't know itself how far it can go.

Admiration

Admiration can distract a person's attention to achieve the cause of admiration.

What If God Was Not Present

This goes to a great argument. Firstly, I want to tell that if God was not present, nothing would be present. But let's think it otherwise going a little ahead. If God was not present, we couldn't handle the darkness swallowing the light or light killing the darkness. Voltaire said:

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him..

If God was not present, I would rather think that even the present would never exist for the existence of man. If there is some existence, there must be a creator of this existence to exist in this present. Even if a person who doesn't believe in God, he might think some day that someone is up there looking him and helping him in the story which He made for him. Well, explaining this, I want to cite a quote of Homer Simpson:

I am not normally a religious man, but... if you're up there, save me, superman.

The God is the maker - the maker of the makers. If He was not present, how could we make our eyes look around, because every time you look around, you espy on something which reflects the greatness and presence of God. If God was not present, what was the purpose of us to be sent down here; what could be our purpose to look around and talk and hear and taste. When there is some purpose of us to be sent down here, there must also be a reason for him to take us back to him. Winston Churchill said:

I am ready to meet my maker. Whether my Maker is prepare for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

If God was not present, we couldn't know when a person was in space and in no time he stood beside us.
There would be blunders. Blunders not committed by us but by the laws of nature. It would be something real to us at that moment, but now it's completely strange. No one can explain what would happen if the God was not present, but little endeavours can be compiled to give a true shape to tell this unanswered question. We have to think differently to explain this topic because different likes different.

Mystery

We have to stop and be humble enough to understand that there is something called mystery.

Blood Circulation

Teacher was explaining blood circulation: If I stood on my head, the blood will run into it.
Student: Yes madam.
Teacher: Then why is that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position, the blood doesn't flow into my feet?
Student: Because your feet are not empty.

Student And Teacher

Student: Teacher! Will you punish me for something that I have not done?
Teacher: No! Certainly not.
Student: Thank you! I did not do my homework today.

Waiting And Suffering

Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.

No One Can Lie

No one can lie, no one can hide anything, when he looks directly into someone's eyes.

Love

Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere.

My Poem In School Magazine

My poem "Knowledge" was selected to be written in my school magazine "Futurist".

Love - An Inescapable Trap

Love is a trap. When it appears, we see only its light, not its shadows.

Blessing And Curse

Every blessing ignores becomes a curse.

Life

Life was always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act.

Happenings

Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.

Risks - The Beauty Of Life

Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.

Isaac Newton

Today's Isaac Newton's 368th birthday.

Date Of Birth:

He was born on December 25, 1642.

Date Of Death:

He died on March 20, 1726.

Information:

He was an English physician, astronomer, mathematician, alchemist and theologian. He was a great physician and physics became luminous after his work on law of gravitation, laws of motion and formulation of equations of motion. A common story known by everyone is that once Newton was sitting under a tree when an apple came down and hit his head. This gave him the thought of the reason of this fall. He thought and thought and at last gave his law of gravitation.

Some Funny Jokes About Newton:

1. Physics would have been much easier if the tree had fallen on Newton's head instead of an apple  :)

2.Gravity is a law and lawbreaker must be brought down.

3. The force applied by a boy while proposing a girl is equal and opposite to the force by which the girl slaps.

4. Physics would have been much easier if Newton was sitting under a coconut tree instead of an apple tree.

Inception

A great and a transcendent movie by Cristopher Nolan. In this movie, Leonardo DeCaprio is a skilled a thief... a thief of thoughts and secrets. He is a great extractor who can extract the secrets of people in their subconsciousness. Now, he is given a last job which can give him back his beautiful life. The job is not to steal an idea, but to plant one. Can he make the impossible possibe.. the inception!

Trust

The tree was there standing alone.
Patiently waiting to welcome the morn.
It had a secret of forest to tell
To one who could keep it well.

Nature blew the wind across.
The tree was ready to break the laws.
But bad! The tree could hardly stare
When the wind became the air.

A giraffe happened to come across.
The tree was ready to break the laws.
The giraffe came and ate its leaves.
It saw something and suddenly flees.

Many days and weeks came across.
The tree was always ready to break the laws.
But bad! The tree could hardly find a day
To say what it wanted to say.

One day, a bird happened to cross.
The tree was ready to break the laws.
But poor! The bird fell on ground
After a deadly firing sound.

A man with a gun happened to cross.
The tree was ready to break the laws.
The hidden secret was at last told.
The secret of forest was at last sold.

The next day, an apocalypse came.
The yesterday and tomorrow were not same.
The destruction of forest could be seen.
Every human was being so mean.

The same man with an axe happened to cross.
The man was ready to break the laws.
The tree which once stood like a wall,
After breaking a trust, had to fall.
